Samskruthi – Intercollegiate Management and Cultural Fest

A two day inter-collegiate fest Samskruthi 2020 started with big pomp and show on 25th Feb 2020. The fest is jointly organised by BMS College of Commerce and Management, V V Puram, Bengaluru and BMS Evening College of Arts and Commerce, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru on 25th & 26th February 2020. The fest is dedicated to “FIT INDIA MOVEMENT – A STEP TOWARDS HEALTHY INDIA”. To support the cause Zumba and fitness class was organised for students from 7-8 AM in the morning.

The intercollegiate fest Samskruthi 2020 was inaugurated on 25th Feb 2020 by Mr. Ramesh Arvind, Indian Film Actor/Director, Miss Shanvi Srivatsava, Indian film actress & Mr. Vijay Raghavendra, Indian Film Actor/Director. The Guests of Honor were - Dr. B.S Ragini Narayan, Donor Trustee, BMS Educational Trust, Sri. M. Madan Gopal, IAS(Retd.) Trustee BMSET, Sri Aviram Sharma, Chairman, BMSCCM and Prof. Pankaj Choudhary, Principal, BMSCCM & BMSECAC. The evening program also witnessed an amazing violin performance by Wireless Walking Violinist– Dr. Aneesh Vidyashankar followed by DJ Night in the college ground.

On 26th Feb 2020, the program was concluded with valedictory program and spine-chilling live concert by the famous Kannada International Rock Band formed by KFI, Naik and Jois Project. The winners of different events organised at college are as follows:

SAMSKRUTHI 2019

Samskruthi 2019, A two day inter-collegiate cultural and management fest organised by BMS College of Commerce and Management and BMS Evening College of Arts and Commerce kick started with a 5km walkathon on 24th March 2019 which was a tribute to the Indian Armed Forces. There were 300 students from different colleges who participated in the it. Walkathon started from BMS college Basavanagudi to Town Hall. The event was flagged off by Chief guests Ms. Wanitha Ashok – Bangalore Fitness Queen and Youth Fitness Icon and Mr. Balaji Narasimhan – Former Indian Football Goalkeeper, Principal BMS College of Commerce and Management Prof. Pankaj Choudhary and Principal BMS Evening College of Arts and Commerce Mr. Manu Natesh. There was a street play Jagruthi which showcased their tribute to armed forces at Town Hall.

On 26th March, the inauguration program of Samskruthi 2019 took place at the BMS College of Commerce and Management, V V Puram Campus where the event was presided by Chairman of BMS College of Commerce and Management , Sri. M. Madan Gopal IAS(Retd) and the Chief Guests for the Inauguration were Mr. Gurunandhan, Kannada Cine Actor and RJ Guru. Principal of BMS College of Commerce and Management Prof. Pankaj Choudhary and Principal BMS Evening College of Arts and Commerce were also present. There were a myriad of events like best manager, debate, extempore, start-up 50, make-up, pot painting, face painting etc which were organised and students from 111 different colleges participated and showcased their talents. The evening was a complete entertainment with group dances, fashion show and an all exclusive DJ Night in the college ground.

On 27th March, the valedictory program was organised in the BMS Evening College of Arts and Commerce wherein prominent celebrities like Bhavya Gowda – Miss Earth UK and International Celebrity, Ms. Hitha Chandrashekar, Kannada Cine Actress, Mr. Adarsh Eshwarappa – Kannada Film Director were present. The event was presided by Dr. B S Ragini Narayan, Donor Trustee & Member Secretary, BMS Educational Trust. Prize money with trophies and certificates were distributed by the dignitaries to the winners and runners of 20 events. A spine-chilling live concert by the famous Kannada Rapper – All OK set the stage and entertained the crowd. All Ok band led by Alok Babu, Mc Bijju, SID & DJ lethal set the stage on fire and completely entertained the crowd. The concert witnessed more than 3000 students.
